Signing of the Yaoundé I Convention
The Yaoundé I Convention, which forecasted an Association Agreement for a duration of five years with commercial, financial and technical assistance between the EEC and seventeen African states and Madagascar, was signed on 20 July 1963 in Yaoundé (Cameroon).
