Visit of Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, to Serbia

On 29 and 30 September 2021, Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, travelled to Belgrade and Niš, Serbia, as part of her tour to the Western Balkans ahead of the EU-Western Balkans Summit scheduled for 6 October 2021. On this occasion, ursula von der Leyen met with Aleksandar Vučić, President of Serbia, and Ana Brnabić, Serbian Prime Minister. The President also attendend the launch event of the works to modernise the Niš to Brestovac section of the Pan-European transport corridor X and witnessed the signature of a contract for the rehabilitation of a section on the Peace Highway connecting Niš to Pristina, supported by the European Union.
