Handover of the scientific opinion and evidence review report on the successful and timely uptake of artificial intelligence in science in the EU from the SAM

On 15 April 2024, the EU Scientific Advice Mechanism (SAM) released its advice on how the European Commission can accelerate the responsible take-up of AI in science in the EU. The release of the evidence review report and policy recommendations were marked by a ceremony in the presence of Margrethe Vestager, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission in charge of Europe fit for the Digital Age, and Commissioner for Competition, and Iliana Ivanova, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth.
