Hello, good morning.

I am a Deputy Minister of Lithuania.

Can I say something just by myself, OK, yeah, yeah.

So on behalf of Lithuania, we are very grateful to the Danish Presidency to put the topic of medicine shortages in the European Union in our Member States,

and we We consider that it is relevant to coordinate our efforts to prevent or mitigate medicine shortages,

and we would like that some effective decisions would be held to exchange the information.

What are the range and the causes of the medicine shortages and

to effectively prevent this and to support each other in this problem. Thank you.

Question sorry, right, Claudia from Politico, so on medical, on medicine shortages,

what do you think about, like initiatives, yeah, OK, thank you.

What do you think about initiatives, such as the like in the Critical Medicines Act talking about maybe expanding, joint procurement efforts or they use rolling stockpiling,

do you think those could be effective in tackling them and how do we create them right so that

they do help all countries based on no matter the size and we really think that it is our need.

And we have some experience in the Baltic joint procurement, for example, several vaccines were purchased, and this was very helpful for us,

but we have also problems with the availability of other medicines in our markets,

and therefore these joint procurement initiatives are very important for us.

And we would support these initiatives and also we have some deficits and shortages of some medicines in our markets,

and our patient really asks us to do something and to help them.

So these joint efforts indeed seems very perspective for us. Thank you.
