FOREIGN AFFAIRS - Georgia: Q&A
Yeah, hello, Luka Hachi for Eula TV Georgia.
The speaker of the Georgian Dream parliament has, responded to the EU's recent criticism by saying,
when you don't have an argument, call your opponent a Russian.
Do you have any, reaction to this comment or maybe some kind of
clarification regarding the latest statement about the Georgian Dream government conducting Russian propaganda. Thank you. Thank you.
Certainly not on, on the comment, but otherwise, Anitta, thank you.
Just in terms of the context and the actions that are clearly textbook Russian propaganda inspired.
When we look at what is happening in Georgia, we see that facts are speaking louder than words.
When you need to jail your opposition, when you go after independent media, when you target civil society,
when you need to change laws so that your ruling party is an advantage,
you're not speaking the language of democracy.
These are the actions from our side.
We have always condemned any forms of violence, so we are strictly against that, including all the verbal attacks that we
see from the Georgian Dream that are some desperate attempts to
mask a repressive regime that is now being put in place. Thank you, Anitta. Yes, please.
Georgia, I also want to ask about Georgia.
More than one month that Georgian Dream gave the answer regarding the visa-free regime, so maybe do you have some update when we can expect assessments on this answer,
or which procedures then will be, and also a few days ago, the European Parliament voted for. Visa suspension, new regulations.
So am I understanding correctly that if it will be necessary in future,
these new regulations will be used for any country which is using visa free Schengen zone,
including Georgia. Thank you. Thank you.
This will be more for Markus regarding visa.
Let me just make sure that we have no further questions to Anitta.
I think we have at least one online from Yolanda Costa.
