As we've seen after heightened tensions this week,

we can for now that cooler heads have prevailed and we can really safely say that we have not budged on Denmark,

on Greenland's sovereignty, on territorial integrity.

We fully stand behind them and their independence.

They are not for sale,

and I think that message was made very clear this week and we are happy to see that the escalation is on the table for now.

This also means that we can continue at this stage our discussions internally on the EU US trade deal which had been paused pending the impending tariff threat,

so I will be taking it forward together with my colleagues in order to proceed.

We are also working with our colleagues in the House of Congress.

The two legislatures can work together to broker solutions, dialogue.

A lot of them want to build bridges with us.

Likewise, we would like to build bridges with them and on trade you can see a lot of alignment.

If there is one thing we learned this week, is that we have to be autonomous and we have to be strong. At the same time, we need stability. We need a fair.

A partnership with the United States which is in the interest of all that is based on dialogue and respect. One thing on Mercosur.

As you saw the vote yesterday, do not want to over dramatise things.

This was not a vote on the consent.

It was simply legal clarifications, as it is in the full prerogative of the parliament to do from the Court of Justice.

Once those clarifications are given, we will proceed with the consent.

Well, provisional application is a prerogative and this is what I will discuss with the leaders of the council and the Commission naturally the parliament would always say. That full prerogatives must be respected.

However, provisional application is an option on the table,

and I will take it forward also with the leaders of the political groups step by step, keep calm and cool on this.

So first it will need to be voted in the International Trade Committee. It was scheduled for next week.

It will now have to happen in the next days our colleagues are confident that we can continue discussions and if all things go well,

yes,

it can be scheduled in the plenary happy is a big word.

What we can say is, however, that we were united and we had one message that we stand fully behind Greenland and Denmark independence,

territorial integrity and sovereignty and that strong message led to what today is a de-escalation of the tensions that would have otherwise potentially led to quite strong measures coming out tonight.

Thank you very much.
