Visit of Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner, to Albania

On 27 and 28 June 22022, Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, travelled to Albania. She participated in the Ministerial Meeting of the Western Balkans Platform on Culture; and she participated in the Butterfly Innovation Awards Ceremony. She also took part in the Ministerial Meeting of the Western Balkans Platform on Research, Innovation, Education and Training; and delivered a speech at the event on the Science for Policy Report: ‘Status of Environment and Climate in the Western Balkans'.

During her stay she met Majlinda Bregu, Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), Mirela Kumbaro Furxhi, Albanian Minister of Tourism and Environment, Elva Margariti, Albanian Minister for Culture, Evis Kushi, Albanian Minister for Education, Sports and Youth, and Elisabeth Barsacq, Ambassador of France in Albania.
