On 25 March 2025, Raffaele Fitto, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission for Cohesion and Reforms, received the visit of representatives of the European Citizens' Initiative "Cohesion policy for the equality of the regions and sustainability of the regional cultures" to the European Commission. The delegation included Balázs Izsák, President of the Szekler National Council, and Attila Dabis, Foreign Affairs Commissioner at the Szekler National Council, and László György, Notary at the Szekler National Council.
The meeting, during wich the organisers of the initiative presented its objectives, was the first step in the Commission’s preparation of its response to the initiative.
