On 21 October 2019, Miguel Arias Cañete, Member of the EC in charge of Climate Action and Energy, participated in the EU-US high-level forum on small modular reactors, in Brussels.
Hosted by the EC and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), the EU-U.S. high-level forum on small modular reactors (SMR) that have the potential for deployment worldwide in those countries that choose to use nuclear energy. The high-level forum looked into this issue by bringing together business stakeholders and government authorities.
