and I shall be President of the European Commission for the next 5 years.
My top Commission team comes from all the regions of Europe.
We want to invest all our energy into Europe and its people.
They want a strong economy,
which creates jobs and sustainable wealth.
They want Europe to become a carbon neutral continent
and to be successful in the digital age.
They expect protection for the weak and safety for all.
They want investments in education,
research and innovation,
creating opportunities for the future.
For us Europeans, rule of law and democracy stand above all.
Moreover, they want a confident Europe 17 that is a good neighbour and partner.
We all feel committed to those goals.
