Solemn undertaking before the Court of Justice by Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission
On 13 January 2020, the Members of the von der Leyen Commission were formally sworn in at the Court of Justice of the EU in Luxembourg. With this solemn oath, the Members of the Commission undertook to respect the Treaties and the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union and to exercise their responsibilities with complete independence and in the general interest of the Union.
