On 9 May 2020, on the occasion of Europe Day 2020, the forum 'Regions and cities: vital for Europe's economic recovery' took place online and was hosted by Apostolos Tzitzikostas, President of the Committee of the Regions (CoR) and Governor of Central Macedonia. It was organised with CoR members, #CohesionAlliance members, other selected politicians an​d VIP guests including Elisa Ferreira, European Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms, and Dubravka Šuica, Vice-President of the European Commission in charge of Democracy and Demography. The debate took place in the context of the current health, social and economic crisis and was divided in three parts.
