On 11 June 2020, Josep Borrell Fontelles, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission in charge of a stronger Europe in the World, chaired the meeting of the Ministers of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) with the participation of Olivér Várhelyi, European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement, via video conference due to the coronavirus context.
The meeting brought together EU Foreign Ministers and their counterparts from the six Eastern Partnership countries; Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine, to discuss the response to the coronavirus pandemic in the neighbourhing countries and work on the preparations for the video conference of EaP leaders scheduled on 18 June 2020.
