On 15 March 2021, Margaritis Schinas, Vice-President of the European Commission in charge of promoting our European Way of Life, and Ylva Johansson, European Commissioner for Home Affairs, attended the Informal videoconference of Ministers for Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs - Meeting n°VC-FAHA-150321 co-chaired by Josep Borrell Fontelles, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, and Eduardo Cabrita, Portuguese Minister for Internal Administration. 

During this meeting, the EU Ministers debated on the external aspects of the EU’s migration policy, under the new pact on migration and asylum. The EU Ministers focused in particular on migration as an important element in relations with key third countries. They discussed how to best develop and further enhance cooperation between countries of origin, transit and destination in a comprehensive and mutually beneficial manner.
