On 2 September 2021, the EU Ministers for Defence hold an informal meeting
in Kranj, Slovenia. The meeting was chaired by Josep Borrell Fontelles, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, and hosted by Matej Tonin, Slovenian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defense.
During the Informal meeting, the EU Ministers mainly discussed the EU’s future relations with the Taliban.
