On 18 October 2021, Josep Borrell Fontelles, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission in charge of a stronger Europe in the World, gave a press conference following the 3819th meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council held in Luxembourg.
On this occasion, Josep Borrell Fontelles presented the main results namely on how to strengthen the EU's presence in the Gulf region, on the eastern partnership, on the situation in Ethiopia, Mali, Nicaragua, Afghanistan, the Western Balkans, on latest developments around Varosha, and on Belarus and the issue of migrants.
