On 19 October 2021, Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, participated in the plenary session of the European Parliament, in Strasbourg.

Together with Anže Logar, Slovenian Minister for Foreign Affairs and President in office of the Council of the EU, they addressed the Rule of law crisis in Poland and the primacy of EU law.
