Why did you use SELFIEforTEACHERS?

In today’s modern world, it is key that each of us

as educators does our best in order to prepare our students

for life beyond school, and life beyond school

– let’s face it – involves a lot of digital skills.

Having a tool that helps me set professional learning goals

and better explore pedagogical approaches made possible by technology

is indeed very relevant for me and my work.

Because digital is now part of everyday life.

How did you find using SELFIEforTEACHERS?

It’s always useful to take a minute and reflect,

especially if your goal is to promote the skills

of our so-called digital-native students.

It also allows you to see what possible steps you can take in order to improve,

I found that really helpful.

It helped me to better understand the value of some educational choices.

I started reconsidering and giving a name to my everyday actions in the classroom.

I would summarise the potentialities of SELFIEforTEACHERS in:

intuitive, flexible and personalised.

How did SELFIEforTEACHERS help your work?

Thanks to the reflection tool I was aware

that my level of digital assessment was low.

Therefore, I enrolled to different courses in order to improve it.

Using the results of my self-assessment,

I would be able to shape my professional development –

to focus on developing digital literacy skills.

It also inspired me to do more for my school community,

together with some colleagues I’m preparing workshops

and collaborative learning groups that will help us.

It made sense to share the experience with my colleagues,

as I am the head of the professional development programme this year

and SELFIEforTEACHERS can definitely assist towards defining this year’s agenda.
