On 24 January 2022, Josep Borrell Fontelles, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission in charge of a stronger Europe in the World, chaired the 3844th Foreign Affairs Council meeting in Brussels, Belgium.During the meeting, EU Ministers and Antony J. Blinken, US Secretary of State, discussed the European security situation, in relation to the latest developments in Russia’s military build-up around Ukraine and the current situation in Belarus and Kazakhstan.
