In 2020 alone, more than 555 thousand women died from cancer and around 1.24 million women were diagnosed with the disease in the European Union. With the publication of Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan one year ago, the Commission renewed its commitment to cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment. Today, the Cancer Plan is starting to deliver on its promises and is helping everyone to have access to high quality, cancer care.
