On 30 May 2022, Kadri Simson, European Commissioner for Energy, recorded a video message on the occasion of the 6th ENSREG Conference.

This event took place with the European Nuclear Safety Regulators Group (ENSREG) in collaboration with the European Commission in Brussels, Belgium.

One focus of the conference was nuclear safety in the major crisis, such as war in Ukraine or a pandemic, but also waste management and long-term operation of nuclear power plants, the regulatory challenges of innovative designs and how to select key research topics in nuclear safety.
