On 27 and 28 June 2022, the Ministerial Meeting of the Western Balkans Platforms on Culture, Research and Innovation, Education and Training took place in Tirana, Albania, where Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, officially launched the platform. On this occasion, Mariya Gabriel namely called the ministers to take full advantage of these meetings to work jointly together with a view to develop cooperation between the EU and the Western Balkans and to contribute to the integration of the region in the EU.
