On 30 and 31 August 2022, Josep Borrell Fontelles, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and President of the Council, chaired the Informal Meeting of Ministers for Foreign Affairs (Gymnich) in Prague, Czechia, and gave a joint press conference with Jan Lipavský, Czech Minister for Foreign Affairs. During the meeting, the EU Ministers for Foreign Affairs discussed the global consequences of the Russian invasion in Ukraine, as well as further sanctions against Russia. The ministers also debated topics such as the European outlook for Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia, the future of the Eastern Partnership and relations between the EU and Africa, where the EU is providing immediate and long-term assistance in response to the Russian aggression.This video shows the press conference by Josep Borrell Fontelles and Jan Lipavský.
