On 17 January 2023, Valdis Dombrovskis, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission in charge of an Economy that works for People, and Commissioner for Trade, and Paolo Gentiloni, European Commissioner for Economy, attended the Economic and Financial Affairs Council in Brussels, Belgium.
The meeting chaired by Elisabeth Svantesson, Swedish Minister for Finance, focused on the Swedish Presidency of the Council programme; the economic and financial impact of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine as well as on the implementation of the EU’s macro-financial assistance to Ukraine; the recovery and resilience plan of Luxembourg; and the European Semester 2023.
