On 4 April 2023, Kadri Simson, European Commissioner for Energy, attended the signing ceremony of a joint agreement between the TotalEnergies Anomaly Detection Initiatives (TADI) of the Pôle d'Etudes et de Recherche de Lacq and the Colorado State University Methane Emission Technology Evaluation Center (METEC) on methane emission reduction. The agreement was signed by Dan Zimmerle, Director of the Methane Emissions Program (METEC) and the Remote an Distributed Energy Center (RADEC) at the Colorado State University, and Marie-France Bénassy, Manager of the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) research program at TotalEnergies, and in presence of David Turk, US Deputy Secretary for Energy.
