On 13 May 2023, Josep Borrell Fontelles, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission in charge of a stronger Europe in the World, travelled to Stockholm, Sweden, to co-chair the second EU Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum together with Tobias Billström, Swedish Minister for Foreign Affairs. The Stockholm Forum brought together the EU Foreign Ministers, Foreign Ministers from the Indo-Pacific region, representatives of EU institutions and representatives of a number of regional organisations and other partners and included a plenary session and parallel roundtables on: building more sustainable and inclusive prosperity together; green opportunities and overcoming global challenges in cooperation; and the evolving security landscape in the Indo-Pacific.
