On 29 November 2023, Josep Borrell Fontelles, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission in charge of a stronger Europe in the World, travelled to Skopje, North Macedonia, to participate in the Ministerial meeting of the Organisation for Security Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). On this occasion, he also had a met with Dimitar Kovačevski, Prime Minister of North Macedonia, followed by a joint press briefing. During his speech, Josep Borrell Fontelles stressed that OSCE, despite the attempts by Russia to undermine it, remains an important partner organisation, specially in difficult times, such as the aggression to Ukraine. He also spoke about North Macedonia's screening process and the accession negotiations and the new Growth Plan for the Western Balkans, to boost economic growth, jobs and improve living standards throught the access to parts of the European Single Market.This video shows the press briefing with Josep Borrell Fontelles and Dimitar Kovačevski.
