From 24 to 28 September 2024, the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) took place in New York, United States. 

This session focused on the progress towards the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This highly anticipated Future Summit, organized during the UNGA, highlighted the urgent need for strengthened international cooperation to address pressing challenges such as climate change, poverty, and inequality, while tackling the impacts of ongoing conflicts and global health crises.
