On 27 October 2024, Josep Borrell Fontelles, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission in charge of a stronger Europe in the World, went in Barcelona, Spain where he participated in the Euro-Mediterranean civil society conference 'Reclaiming Our Shared Humanity' organised by the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed) on 26 and 27 October. This edition of the conference focused on the conflicts in the Middle East.
