Visit of the organisers of European Citizens' Initiative "My Voice, My Choice: For Safe and Accessible Abortion", to the European Commission

On 1st October 2025, Hadja Lahbib, European Commissioner for Equality, and European Commissioner for Preparedness and Crisis Management, received the members of the European Citizens Initiative ‘My Voice, My Choice’, for a visit to the Berlaymont building of the European Commission in Brussels, Belgium. The ‘My Voice, My Choise’ members asked the EC to propose a financial support mechanism to enable Member States to provide safe pregnancy terminations to anyone in Europe. The initiative gathered over one million signatures from across the EU.
