On 15 February 2026, Kaja Kallas, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, delivered a speech at the Munich Security Conference 2026: Europe Day in Munich, Germany. During her speech Kaja Kallas captured a vision for a strong unified Europe that continues to appeal beyond the borders of the continent. Kaja Kallas recognised the three European priorities to reclaim its agency: defence, neighbourhood stability, and global partnerships. Enlargement is seen as a balancing factor in political stability and economic growth. International partnerships also contribute to safe collaborations across the globe. Kaja Kallas concluded her speech with a call to action, encouraging proactive choices, emphasising defence, neighbourhood security and global partnerships. The speech was followed by a panel discussion with Radmila Shekerinska, Deputy Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Benjamin Haddad, Minister attached to the French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs with responsibility for Europe, and Edgars Rinkēvičs, President of Latvia.This video shows the speech and panel discussion.
